Why Confluence Coaching?
I have spent a lot of time in canyon country in the southwest United States. It’s where I find peace and my soul is recharged from the daily grind. Everything from the geology to the hidden treasures in the flora to the wide-open skies calls to me to return again and again. As I adventure in this rugged and beautiful retreat, I often run into what makes the canyons so amazing; the confluence of streams, creeks, washes, and rivers that dig deep into the earth and create amazing places to discover and dream about.
There are many definitions of the word confluence. Most of them begin with the definition of two rivers joining. Merriam-Webster also defines confluence as “a coming or flowing together, meeting or gathering at one point” and MacMillan expands on the definition as “a situation in which two or more things come together”. I have spent hours pondering this amazing site witnessing two rivers joining together in canyon country and wondering what new is created from it. I have also spent hours pondering this incredible potential of human beings as they open up to the flow of their best selves as there is a dynamic coming together of their inner potential. This coming together could be the integration of values with daily practices that bring fulfillment; or self-confidence melding with an understanding of how that person can positively impact their world. The confluence is a blending of how one wants to be in the world along with how they act from moment-to-moment.
For me, coaching is about the confluence of stepping into your best self in order to make powerful decisions. It is about understanding what values you stand for and how those values can lead towards a more fulfilling life. Coaching can bring you closer to how you want to be in the world, what you want for yourself, and being conscious through it all. I invite you to step into a coaching relationship to find your confluence of best self and powerful decisions that launch you into a more meaningful, conscious life!
